EV charging answer

How does ChargeAtHomePros actually work?

Short answer

You tell us where you live and what EV charger you need installed. We route your request to a licensed, EVITP-certified electrician in our network who serves your ZIP code. They contact you, usually within hours, assess your home's electrical panel (often via video or photos), and send you a written, itemized quote. You choose whether to hire them—no obligation, no pressure.

More detail

The form on the homepage takes about 60 seconds. We ask for your ZIP code, the type of EV you are buying, and whether your garage is attached or detached. There is no credit card required, no account to create, and no marketing follow-up if you decide not to proceed.

Behind the scenes, your request is routed to exactly one licensed electrician in our network who serves your ZIP and specializes in EV chargers. Not three to five contractors—one. That electrician reaches out to schedule a free assessment, which usually involves checking your main electrical panel's capacity, the distance to your garage, and the proposed charger location.

The deliverable from the assessment is a written, itemized quote: charger hardware (if they are supplying it), conduit run, wire gauge, breaker, labor, permit fees, and warranty terms. The electrician also helps confirm any federal 30C tax credit or local utility rebates that might apply.

If the matched electrician is not the right fit for any reason, tell us and we will route you to a different pro. The match is a starting point, not a commitment.
