ChargeAtHomePros (“ChargeAtHomePros,” “we,” “us”) operates a matching service that connects homeowners and businesses with vetted EVITP-certified electricians. This policy explains what information we collect on chargeathomepros.com, how we use it, and who we share it with.
The short version
- We collect the information you enter into the lead form — nothing more.
- We share that information with one matched electrician who serves your area. We do not resell your data, broadcast it to multiple electricians, or hand it to marketing lists.
- We retain leads only as long as needed to operate the matching service and to comply with legal obligations.
- You can request deletion at any time by submitting the form with “Delete my data” in the notes field, and we will purge your record within 30 days.
1. Information we collect
When you submit the lead form, we collect the fields you provide: ZIP code, service requested (Level 2 install, Tesla Wall Connector, panel upgrade, outdoor trench, commercial), urgency / EV delivery context, name, email address, phone number, and any free-text notes. We also automatically capture the URL of the page where you submitted the form and the timestamp.
We do not collect health information, financial information, social security numbers, government IDs, or precise location data beyond the ZIP code you enter. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Cookies and analytics
ChargeAtHomePros uses minimal cookies for essential functionality. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which referral channels work — none of these tie back to your name, email, or phone.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you submit to:
- Match your request to an EVITP-certified electrician licensed in your jurisdiction who serves your ZIP code.
- Confirm receipt of your request and, if needed, follow up if the matched electrician cannot reach you.
- Track the outcome of each match so we can remove underperforming electricians from the network.
- Comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and improve the service.
3. Who we share your information with
Your contact details are forwarded to one EVITP-certified electrician — vetted, licensed, insured, bonded — who serves the ZIP code you submitted. That electrician receives the information for the specific purpose of contacting you about your EV-charging project.
We do not:
- Sell your information to data brokers.
- Distribute it to more than one electrician without your explicit consent.
- Add you to marketing lists.
- Share with social media platforms.
We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (Cloudflare for hosting, Resend for email, Google Sheets for record-keeping). These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations.
If a matched electrician breaches our network rules (e.g. resells your data, contacts you via channels you didn't authorize), we terminate them. Tell us by submitting the form with “Electrician complaint” in the notes and we will investigate within 5 business days.
4. How long we keep your information
Active lead records are retained for up to 24 months after submission. Records are then archived in a restricted-access location for an additional 36 months to satisfy U.S. business-record retention norms, then permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion (subject to legitimate business-record retention exceptions).
- Opt out of any future contact.
- Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, submit the form with the relevant request in the notes field. We respond within 30 days.
California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information.
6. Children
ChargeAtHomePros is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest (encrypted storage by our service providers).
8. International transfers
ChargeAtHomePros operates from the United States. If you are outside the U.S. and submit information through our site, you consent to the transfer of that information to the U.S.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our service or applicable law changes. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
