EV charging answer

Which EV charger brand should I buy?

Short answer

Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, and Wallbox Pulsar Plus are consistently top-rated by electricians for reliability. Choose a charger that is UL or ETL listed. Avoid cheap, uncertified chargers found online, as they pose significant fire hazards.

More detail

The Tesla Universal Wall Connector is currently the gold standard. It can charge Teslas and non-Teslas seamlessly, has excellent build quality, and is reasonably priced. ChargePoint and Wallbox are also excellent choices with robust smart-charging apps.

Whatever brand you choose, the most critical factor is that the charger must be UL (Underwriters Laboratories) or ETL listed. This proves the device has passed rigorous safety testing. Many cheap chargers sold on large e-commerce platforms lack this certification and have thin, inadequate internal wiring.
